Welcome to Texas!

We stopped at the visitor centre to walk Cody and call home to check in with Mom.

The beach runs for miles here on Bolivar Peninsula.

Cody off-leash and enjoying his morning walk.

The port of Galveston to the right. I think we counted 30+ ships waiting to dock in port.

An offshore drilling platform. Here is a website that shows you how to search for drilling platforms

We drove around, discovering the area and found Fort Travis.

Lots of grass for Cody to walk on around Fort Travis.

The bunkers and gun turrets were interesting to see.

Camp Margaritaville RV Resort.

Our spacious pull thought site.

The coach faces west and we can see the glorious sunsets each evening.

Welcome to Camp Margaritaville.

Camp Margaritaville RV Resort:

- Onsite restaurant, bar, pools and entertainment.
- Just steps to the beach on the other side of the sand dunes. Great location, relaxing fun environment.
It's obviously off-season in January but I can imagine how busy the place would be in the summer months. The entire peninsula is narrow and water on each side making this place feel like you are on an island. When we arrived it was overcast and windy, but the sun has come out and the wind is gone. It's time to take Cody for another beach walk.
