Nice campground that looks like it was once a KOA in the past.
Birmingham South RV Park:
https://www.birminghamrvpark.com- Campsite #49
- Starlink friendly
- Easy to navigate the campground with a big rig
The campground staff are friendly and the town has everything you could need. A great place to stay when passing though for a night or two.

This monument is above the road that leads to the US Army base.

Our gps took us right to the Army base. How nice.

As we entry the Army base, there is tank and a U turn.

All setup in our campsite after the gps misguidance.

The deer and checking us out.

At night, we heard the Army testing their firing of tanks and machine guns. The odd helicopter flew over too. We were right on the perimeter of the base.

Large lake to walk Cody around.

A nice island to fish from (catch and release), if you are interested.

The tornados have passed and now there is cold weather in the forecast for Alabama. They are saying it will only last a day and things will be back to normal. Let's hope the weather man is right and we have a safe journey up to Alabama.

That is us parked on the grass with full hookups. The grass is level and lots of room to park the Jeep.

Tornado watch issues for the county that we would be travelling to the next day (Jennings).

Tornado watch issued for Jennings, where we were to be travelling to in the morning.

Tornado Warning - tornado imminent warning issues, so we stopped our walk and jumped in the Jeep with our go bag and headed to a hotel.

This is what the sky looked like as we grabbed our go bag and left in a rush. It is best to seek shelter and stay in a tornado proof building. Not a coach. We delayed our departure from Ocala and hunkered down for two days in a hotel.

Arriving at the closes hotel just 12 km away.

The tornado touched down on the Florida panhandle and I am glad we did not head up this way. Common sense and putting safety first let us avoid the tornado and stay in central Florida for one more day.

Packing up the motorhome and getting ready for our journey north to Red Bay Alabama. Palm Beach has been amazing although the locals say this was a cooler year than normal.

Good Bye town of Jupiter - Christmas in Florida was awesome, I just missed my Mom, Dad, Sister and the kids.

Last swim at the pool before we check out. Good Bye awesome pool!
Jupiter / Palm Beach was a wonderful experience, and I am so glad that I got to spend two months here. In the future, we will try to stay there months and leave later in February. All in all, Palm Beach is the place you want to be for the winter as it feels like Maui but you can drive there!
