Kingman KOA

IMG_4760Friendly staff at checking desk.

IMG_4771Tight spot with the overgrown shrubs (now trees). I was advised a renovation is going to take place to remove them and add a new privacy screen.

IMG_4767We were luck, we could open the door and step down into a clearing, our friends were not so lucky and their steps touched the shrubs.

IMG_4768Dusty and no room to sit outside.

IMG_4769Cody had lots of room to roam in the dirt. YUCK!

  • We did not stay here, our friend who were at the Kingman KOA advised they will not go back to Kingman and continue down the road to Laughlin. We should have listened and changed our reservation but time got away with us and we forgot to change our reservation. So, lesson learned. We will take the advice of our trusted travelling friends! Thanks Kathy and Terrill. Can't wait to meet up with you again soon.

Take time to smell the flowers

IMG_0597

Dogs are smarter than humans

Cody sure knows how to relax and enjoy life. Each morning he will walk the perimeter of the yard stopping to smell the cherry tree, raspberry bush and then the flowers before his breakfast. He takes time to inspect their progress and waits patently for the crops to be harvested. Each morning a sniff here and there, waiting for Darrel or I to pick a cherry to two and share. Life is meant to have moments of reflection, patience and celebration. Cody lives this each day, showing me how to be a better person. It's moments like this when Cody stops to smell flowers on his walks, in the community garden or even on his back deck, that make you realize that we as humans have a lot learn from our best friends in the animal kingdom. Thank you Cody for showing me it's okay to stop and smell the roses/flowers every day!
