Journey South - Snowbird Season 2024/2025
23/10/24 10:11

Arizona Bound Tomorrow we start our journey south. We were originally planning on leaving at the end of the month, but I really needed to leave early. Staying in the sport that we enjoyed all summer, has been causing too much pain. It is time to move on!, not to forget but to cope with the loss.
1618 miles / 2922 kilometres traveled. Fuel costed U$693.00 and campgrounds costed U$228.00 for a total of U$921.00
Fall Planning

CHANGING OF THE SEASONS We sure have enjoyed our stay here in Aldersyde, but with fall here, it's time to start planning our getaway to warmer weather. I want to first start by saying thank you to our family, friends and loved ones for making time for us and for coming to see our home on wheels. I think everyone now gets that your heart is where your home is, and that your home can be anywhere you want it. As the seasons change, our location will change, but rest assured I will keep the blog up to date with all things that we will be experiencing. If you are up for a nice visit before we go, come out for a fall oat latte or hot chocolate. Love to see you all!
Journey North (Fourth Leg)
01/04/24 09:15

Sadly we start our journey north Tomorrow we embark on our trip north (fourth leg) and they are calling for some nasty weather. I think we will stay an extra week in Southern Utah to ride out the stormy weather. I really don't want to hit a lot of snow on our way north through the passes in Utah and Montana (each side of Helena).
Journey West (Third Leg)
06/01/24 11:03

From the Sub-Tropics of Florida to the Desert of Arizona Tomorrow we embark on our trip west (third leg) and will stop to get our annual service done in Red Bay Alabama and make our way back down to the Gulf for the warm weather. We will stop in to visit friends along the way! I am sad to leave Florida but I am happy to find some familiar territory in Arizona soon. Safe Travels!
Journey South (Second Leg)
09/10/23 10:18

Towards Sunny Weather Today we started planning our journey south, the second leg of what will eventually four legs (East, South, West and North). Our plan this leg is to get south reasonably fast, before the campgrounds close for the season and to enter the area where campgrounds are open all year long. So here is our plan that will keep us aware from New York City but close to some cool places. Darrel really wanted to see Salem close to Halloween, but it looks like we may be in Wilmington NC for Halloween if all goes as planned.
Journey East (First Leg)
18/09/23 10:21

On Your Marks, Get Set, GO! Today we embark on our cross Canada tour, making our way to Atlantic Canada to visit friends. Timing was delated a week but we have a plan and we know that it will take a couple weeks and 2794 miles/4,497 km to get down east. The challenge now is that many of the campgrounds are slated to close early so some of the stops we wanted to do are getting pushed when we do this reverse drive in spring of 2025.
