A welcomed day spent sightseeing as the cool weather and driving days kept us from enjoying the outdoors. It is nice to be outside again after a long drive from the Gulf shore.

Amazing lookout over Old Tucson.

Cacti for days!

Tucson in the distance, a nice park on the fringe of the city.

As we got back into the Jeep, there was a steep decent down the mountain with a sign warning not to drink and drive. Where was the sign that says steep decent and no guard rail. Ironically, coming up the hill there was a car in the ditch that was being winched out. I guess this is a common occurrence here, however this cliff is very high up and it is straight down with no guards. Eeek.

At the bottom of the mountain now, glad to park and look back up from where we came from. Tucson is on the other side of this mountain.

Old Tucson is a cute western town themed attraction in the middle of the desert -

Amazing to see so many saguaro cacti, had to FaceTime Tyshawn and let him see "Johnny" (yes, there is a story here, be sure to ask me) -

The Saguaro National Park was pretty to see, we will come back for a day hike.

On our way back to Tucson. Lots of cool desert sites were seen and we can't wait to come back and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer here in Arizona.

Home now to watch the Super Bowl. All the US commercials are great, too bad they are not all shown in Canada.
